A dinner reception was arranged by GIS Development on the second day of the Indo-Canadian two-day 11th Technology Summit & Technology Platform on 22nd September in New Delhi, India to honour the Canadian Geospatial industry delegation. Key players of Canadian and Indian geospatial industry met in New Delhi. The event was organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) with the support of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India, in partnership with Canada. Deliberations took place on the theme of Earth Sciences and Disaster Management Technologies. Canadian Geospatial delegation was led by Irwin Itzkovitch, Assistant Deputy Minister, Natural Resource Canada. Kapil Sibal, Minister of State for Science & Technology and Ocean Development, James Peterson, Minister of International Trade, Government of Canada, S Reghupathy, Minister of State for Home, Lucie Edwards, High Commissioner of Canada to India and V S Ramamurthy, Secretary, DST participated at the event.
