Indian city launches app to solve civic problems

India: The Indian city of Patna has launched an app which will allow people to lodge their complaints related to garbage, drainage, streetlights, encroachment, dead animals and illegal constructions. The app, called ‘Apna Patna’, plans to promote e-governance in the state. This free app, available in English as well as Hindi, has been developed with the help of National Informatics Centre (NIC) and is available on Google play store as well as the sites of Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) and urban development and housing department (UDHD).
