The Netherlands: Imagem and Antea Group won the Geospatial World Excellence Award for developing the Smart City Road Monitor app based on Hexagon Smart M.App platform. The award was presented at Geospatial World Forum – a global conference. This year’s event was hosted at the World Trade Centre in Rotterdam, from 23 to 26 May.
With growing populations and the dynamically changing world, municipalities today recognize that their IT systems are unable to adapt to changes as quickly. Adding to the woes, the global push for Smart Cities has given rise to a new focus on data collection leading to geospatial big data challenges. It is crucial for municipalities to integrate this ever-changing Geospatial Big Data into more dynamic approach to Asset Management.
