France: IGN France International launched its new logo. It is the subsidiary of the French Geographic Institute and is in process of rebranding itself. Recently, it has launched https://www.ignfi.com/ as well, a new official website. “IGN France International is well-positioned on new markets with high added values such as geographic and touristic portals, cartographic production software, applications for land management and 3D applications. This is what we wanted to represent using the 3D effect that was applied to the logo’s typography,” Nathalie Marthe-Bismuth, General Manager, IGN, said.
“The graphic identity of the company had not evolved for several years and no longer fit with the messages that IGN France International wished to insist on. First of all, we wanted a smooth evolution for our graphic identity that allowed us to confirm our strong ties with the IGN. Our new logo is much more legible,” continued Nathalie.
“Next, beyond our traditional core business, cartographic expertise, we found it important to emphasise IGN’s position in the heart of new developments. A new website highlighting IGN’s export references has just been launched to reinforce the promotion of the company’s new logo and new communication tools. By implementing a more affirmative communication strategy, IGN strongly asserts what it is: a reference in geographic information engineering,” continued Nathalie.
