IGN France International gears up for ICA conference

Paris, France: IGN France International, the export subsidiary of the French IGN (National Geographic Institute) will be the exclusive partner of the day dedicated to Mapping Agencies on July 6th as a part of week-long 25th Conference of the International Cartographic Association (ICA).
“To be a partner of the day dedicated to mapping agencies is very important to us at IGN France International. It is an opportunity to show how IGN France International can help and support other institutes, and notably those in emerging or developing countries, with their projects in geodesy, cartographic updating or implementation of spatial data infrastructure. These ambitious projects require customised support that is adapted to the specificities of the country in which they are conducted,” explained Nathalie MARTHE-BISMUTH, General Manager of IGN France International.
During the conference, IGN France International will particularly emphasise key factors of success in land occupation and agricultural projects. These projects are considered to be highly strategic for the development of numerous emerging countries. The presentation will be illustrated by feedback from projects recently completed in Western Africa, the Middle East, or in Latin America.
