Lansing, USA, August 24, 2007: IDV Solutions launched a new public facing demo, the Demographics Visualizer. The demo provides users with complete access to a sample composite application to visualize and explore current US demographics data. The Demographics Visualizer is designed to give users the opportunity to experience IDV Solutions’ Visual Fusion software capabilities and its ability to solve their business problems.

The Demographic Visualizer integrates Visual Fusion Server and Visual Fusion Client with Virtual Earth web service to display government census results in a dynamic, user-friendly interface. The demo allows users to query and filter census data through five categories: Population, Age, Ethnicity, Political preference and Income. Users can query the categories individually or query more than one category for a further defined result.

IDV Solutions combines the two software offerings to fully maximize the value of user data and present the data in an intuitive and interactive web-based portal.

  • Visual Fusion Server (VFS) enables businesses to quickly integrate web services, organizational and third party data into an interactive, web-based environment. Easily compatible with location services and other standard geospatial web services, VFS displays the data as interactive features on the resultant map.
  • Visual Fusion Client (VFC) is a set of rich user interface components that can be deployed as SharePoint Web Parts or as standard Flash web page components, making use of a map as the primary metaphor for interacting with, exploring, and viewing enterprise information.
