Honda to join Google alliance to develop GPS solutions

Honda Assembly line, courtesy: SulekhaUS: Honda has recently announced that it is joining an alliance of companies that will work with Google on technological innovations for inboard automotive information networks, such as GPS. The alliance plans to incorporate Google's Android operating system into automotive communications systems. Google has also indicated interest in the development of driverless cars. Other automakers in the Open Automotive Alliance include Germany's Audi AG, General Motors Co. of the United States and Hyundai Motor Group of South Korea.
