GPS tracks Vietnam’s radioactive sources

Vietnam: Vietnam has decided to install GPS devices on all radioactive sources across the country. The decision was taken by the Vietnam Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety, after the country lost a mobile radioactive container last September. In fact, since 2003, six radioactive sources have gone missing. The Integrated Circuits Design Research and Education Center has produced 200 GPS devices for this project. These devices can identify both the location and the level of radioactivity in the container.
