GfK MACON re-digitalizes topographical maps of India

31 March 2006: The topographical maps of India are being supplemented by GfK MACON to include a lot of topographical information, including more than 3,000 new city points. The maps comprise detailed postal and administrative units as well as a large selection of topographical map layers, such as roads, railway lines, cities, rivers and elevations. The digital maps are supplied as vector data records in the standard GIS formats Shape (ESRI), mid/mif (MapInfo) and RegioGraph (GfK MACON). The topographical maps showing the lakes, rivers, roads, railway lines and cities have been completely re-digitalized for the new edition using base material with a scale of 1:100,000.
