Germany: Continental AG, a German automotive parts maker, is planning to form an alliance with Google and IBM to develop an autonomous driving system for cars.
A number of automobile companies are in the process of developing computer-controlled features for cars. Google too has been working on self-driving cars since 2010. It has even test driven a fleet of such cars in the US. Continental AG already has an alliance with Cisco Systems to develop systems for driverless automobiles. According to German media reports, Continental AG is now close to form alliances with Google and IBM too.
