GeoTango International Corp, Ontario, makers of advanced 3D geospatial visualization and mapping solutions, recently presented its latest innovations in security and emergency response management at the recent Canadian Police Research Centre (CPRC) technology showcase day.
GeoTango demonstrated how satellite and aerial images can be used to provide real-time or near-real-time monitoring, surveillance and mapping of critical infrastructure sites, urban cores and rural regions anywhere in the world.
GeoTango’s solution allows users to quickly build 3D site models and perform web-based 3D visualization and analysis. This unique solution is made possible by GeoTango’s two primary software tools: GSN Globe- this tool is mainly used for emergency planning, scenario visualization and command & control situations. SilverEye- this software allows users to create 3D models and conduct 3D measurements and analysis using single satellite images and aerial photos. This patent-pending technology allows users at all skill levels to perform rapid and accurate image-based modeling and visualization.
The development of these innovative technologies was supported by GeoConnections, the Geoide NCE program, and the Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC).
