Geoff Zeiss joins Geospatial World

Noida, India: Geospatial Media & Communications is pleased to announce the appointment of Geoff Zeiss as Editor – Building & Energy for its flagship publication, Geospatial World.

Geoff Zeiss brings with him more than 20 years of experience in the geospatial software and solutions industry, working with utilities, communications and public works in enterprise geospatial IT around the world. He has participated in government initiatives including the Geomatics Community Round Table and the Canadian Geospatial Data Infrastructure (CGDI) initative. Currently, he is a member of the Steering Committee of the Eclipse Foundation LocationTech Working Group.

Geoff has been responsible for thought leadership for the utility programme at Autodesk where he was Director of Utility Industry Programme from 2001 to 2012. From 1999 to 2001, he was Director of Enterprise Software Development at Autodesk. Prior to Autodesk, Geoff was Director of Product Development at Vision Solutions, where he led a software development team that implemented some of the largest successful implementations of location-aware integrated design and records management enterprise software systems in the utility and telecommunications sectors.
