SHARE

US: GeoComm has taken over GeoSolve, a GIS oriented emergency services provider in Oregon, US. The acquisition, which came into effect starting January 1, 2016, has merged resources of the two public safety GIS companies, allowing them to continue to service the GeoSolve customers in meeting their GIS and MSAG obligations in Oregon. As far as the name, location, staffing and services are concerned, GeoSolve will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of GeoComm.

The acquisition allows GeoSolve to provide the emergency service and leverage GeoComm’s:

  • Experience with Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG-911) initiatives. GeoComm is the NG-911 GIS provider for many states who have taken – or are taking – the journey to NG-911.
  • Extensive set of GIS data management tools and technologies. GeoSolve customers will now have access to additional resources with the integration of GeoComm’s GIS data management tools.
