Proficy-mobile-appKenya, September 25, 2014: General Electric Intelligent Platforms recently has launched the Proficy mobile app introducing the fairly new concept of Industrial internet to Africa.

Proficy mobile app is a simple, powerful app and web interface linked to a powerful back-end application Server that transforms the data into information, delivering ROI across an organization.

Among the key features embedded in the app include situational awareness (alarming, location etc.), context-aware technology (equipment and user aware), analytics intelligence, dashboards, alarm intelligence visualization and KPIs.

The new app also has a navigation feature that provides the ability to map data from almost any system or applications like ERP, BMS SCADA and others. Once data is mapped into the model, users can include intelligence and connections using multiple dispersed systems.

Daniel Coetzee, GM, Middle East and Africa, GE Intelligent platform, said “this marked a dawn of new era for the machines and sensors industries to meet mobility and analytics to enhance efficiency in their operations. The rapid advancements in industrial data collection and storage, predictive analytics and mobility affords Kenyan companies best in class solutions that will deliver tangible results.”
