GDT names Clay to head marketing department

August 5, 2002-Geographic Data Technology, Inc., a developer of map databases, has announced that Kenneth Clay has joined the company as its director of marketing. Clay, who has more than 20 years of marketing, product management, software development and support experience, will be responsible for heading the company’s internal and external communication efforts, market research, customer communication, and marketing strategy, and sales support.
Clay comes to GDT from Nortel Networks, Inc. where he served as marketing director for the company’s Internet narrowband-access portfolio and voice enabled SIP-based services. Prior to that, Clay held product marketing, customer support and software development positions within Nortel. Clay holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology from the University of New Hampshire.
