Galdos Systems is pleased to host the first ever GML Developer’s conference in Vancouver this July. Geography Markup Language, now adopted by the OGC is quickly gaining momentum as the key technology behind any kind of geographic data description. GML Dev days 2002 will focus solely on the development, and application of GML. The conference will provide public presentations, workshops and exhibits of the latest GML products, applications and open source tools. In addition, there will be a private OGC GML meeting focused on the next generation of Geography Markup Language.
Last summer, OGC and Galdos co-hosted a GML development meeting here in Vancouver. Over 30 lead software developers from Microsoft, Hitachi, Ordnance Survey (and many others) met to discuss and further develop GML.
This year with the launch of GML Dev Days we open GML to the wider world of of the XML, GIS and web-services communities.
The conference is expected to welcome over a hundred participants worldwide, and is open to anyone interested in GML or the application of XML technology to geo-spatial and location problems.
