The city’s street atlas is now available online for free (www.city ofkingston.ca/maps). The online tool allows users to zoom in on a map or an aerial photograph of any address or intersection in Kingston.
The tool can also show details such as bus stops, parking, places of worship, points of interest and community facilities.
For those who want a hard copy of the atlas, the 56 maps appear in a book formerly known as the central street index. Paper copies of the street atlas are available for $40 plus tax at City Hall.
The book and online version make use of the city’s geographic information systems.
The city also uses the information to help residents look up personalized recycling, garbage, brush and leaf collection schedules as well as snow-removal information.
