F+P GEOINFO AG chooses Radius Topology to help develop a spatial database

SHARE

Swiss company F+P GEOINFO AG intends to use Laser-Scan’s Radius Topology as a key component of its Application Service Provider business. Radius Topology is a dynamic topology management layer. F+P GEOINFO AG’s core business involves the development of user software in the areas of CAD and GIS and also provide expertise in spatial databases and system integration. Initially, F+P GEOINFO AG will be using Radius Topology as part of a project to develop a prototype spatial database that will not only combine data from external spatial data providers and specialists, but will unite the organisations further.

Radius Topology will be integrated as part of the system and will provide the initial automatic data correction of the conflated datasets in an Oracle 10g Database. Once the database is up and running Radius Topology will continue to work behind the scenes to automatically validate and clean any future updates, thus protecting the database from unwanted errors. Upon completion of the prototype, the system is expected to be rolled out to provide a valuable service to GeoInfo customers facing data quality improvement issues.
