October 9, 2002 – Forest Technology Group, a firm providing decision support for forestry and natural resources management, today announced the opening of a new office in Pine Mountain, Ga. This new location supports the company’s strategic goal of serving clients throughout the Southeastern United States as well as other major forested regions. The company also announced the appointment of Richard W. Hall as Business Development Manager for the southeast region. Hall will assist in broadening the distribution of the company’s present services and developing plans to provide even more integrated solutions for resource managers.

Hall has extensive experience with timberland investments and finance, both in the United States and internationally, having worked in South America and Australia. Prior to joining Forest Technology Group, he owned and operated Buckhead Resources, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in geographic information systems (GIS) and global positioning system (GPS) mapping services. Hall is a registered forester in Georgia and Alabama and is also a member of the Georgia and Massachusetts Bar Associations.
