Forest Technology Group has announced that it has become an authorized reseller of ESRI software, expanding its participation in the ESRI Business Partner Program. This strengthens Forest Technology Group’s position as the source for comprehensive Web-based GIS (geographic information systems) and related applications.

Forest Technology Group provides decision support systems and services for forest planning, assessment and management. The company is revolutionizing the convenience and accessibility of forest information through the development of Web-based systems and mobile handheld GIS.

Forest Technology Group now offers ESRI’s ArcIMS, ArcView, ArcGIS Spatial Analyst, ArcPad and MapObjects. ArcIMS is a foundation for distributing high-end GIS and mapping services via the Internet. ArcView offers data visualization, query, analysis and integration. ArcGIS Spatial Analyst software presents a broad range of powerful spatial modeling and analysis features. ArcPad software provides database access, mapping, GIS and global positioning system (GPS) integration to handheld computers. MapObjects creates applications that include dynamic live maps and GIS capabilities.

The ESRI Business Partner Program is a network of more than 1,400 domestic and international developers, consultants, data publishers and resellers that, utilizing ESRI technology, provide solutions to meet the GIS needs of every industry. Working together, ESRI and its business partners solve business problems with new software applications, data and value-added services.
