Five agencies have been appointed by national mapping and geographic data agency Ordnance Survey to help drive forward its ambitious sales expansion plans.
Ordnance Survey tendered through the Official Journal of the European Communities (OJEC) for agencies interested in joining a roster by offering one or more of the following services: advertising, design, direct marketing and public relations.
The successful agencies are McCann-Erikson Manchester, Finex Communications Group plc, Lawton Communications Group Ltd, Proctor and Stevenson Ltd, and Start Design Ltd.
They will work alongside in-house staff to increase and enhance the effectiveness of marketing communications from Ordnance Survey to customers in both the consumer and business sectors.
The initial contract awards are for 12 months, with options to extend for a further two 12-month periods. The new roster appointments replace a full service agency arrangement, which has reached the natural end of its contract.
