UK: Exprodat Consulting has entered into a partnership with Malaysian-based Alliance Geotechnical Services (AGS) to support this expanding and developing industry. AGS will work with Exprodat to promote, market and sell their innovative and established suite of GIS-based exploration and production (E&P) Team-GIS software, as well as to organise specialist petroleum focussed ArcGIS consultancy and training services to oil & gas professionals based in both Malaysia and Indonesia.
From their offices in Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta, the AGS geosciences professionals and oil & gas industry consultants work to achieve their stated mission; to set the industry standard for the provision of multi-disciplined geosciences solutions in the Asian Oil & Gas marketplace. Working in partnership with Exprodat Consulting will ensure that this mission can continue to be met.
The partnership is crucial as according to the latest oil & gas report from Business Monitor International, Asian oil imports are growing rapidly as demand growth is outstripping the pace of supply expansion. By 2014 the prediction is that whilst China, Japan, India and South Korea will all need to import oil, Malaysia will be the region’s only net exporter.
Remarking on the collaboration, Gareth Smith, Managing Director of Exprodat said “We are looking forward to working with AGS to bring our unique range of GIS software and services to this growing region.” On the other hand, Don Archer, General Manager of AGS said, “Many of the more successful oil and gas clientele are adopting specialised GIS workflows into their exploration and portfolio management activities and Exprodat has excelled in delivering software and services tailored to those activities.”
