Euroconsult honours excellence in satellite management

Paris, France: Euroconsult, the leading global research and analyst firm specialising in the satellite sector, announced the winners of its 7th Annual Awards for Excellence in Satellite Management. According to Euroconsult, these awards are the highest tribute in the satellite sector awarded to leaders and their companies for outstanding achievement in several categories. They are presented each September in Paris at the World Satellite Business Week, the industry’s premiere senior executive event, now in its 14th year.

A jury of industry experts from Euroconsult, Space News and SatelliteFinance uses various quantitative and qualitative standards to determine the winning companies. This year, the award categories and winners are:

Global Satellite Operator of the Year – Telesat
Strategic Transaction of the Year – Viasat
Regional Satellite Operator of the Year – Arabsat
Broadband Satellite Operator of the Year – Hughes Communications
Earth Observation Operator of the Year – GeoEye

“The Euroconsult awards recognise companies and their leaders who, through their vision, innovation or performance have had an unusually major impact on the satellite industry in the past year,” said Pacôme Revillon, CEO, Euroconsult.

The winners were all praise for the awards:
