The ESRI, USA has conferred the coveted ‘ESRI High Achievement Award’ for Asia Pacific on NIIT Technologies’ GIS subsidiary. Mr. Rajesh C Mathur, President, ESRI India, received the coveted award at the ESRI International Conference in California. ESRI India, the country’s leading GIS solutions provider is an ESRI and NIIT joint venture.
The award recognizes ESRI India’s achievements of high commitment to the customers and recording consistent growth. It also recognizes ESRI’s development of new markets in the Asia Pacific region. This award comes to ESRI India for the second time since its inception in 1996. ESRI India tipped the scales in its favour against GIS distributors of Japan, Australia and South Korea, among others.
ESRI India emerged as the No 2 ESRI Distributor in the APAC region, after Japan and ahead of Australia and South Korea. The company is also positioned as the seventh largest distributor globally in terms of software sales. Two of its prestigious customers-National Informatics Center and Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board, have also received the Special Achievement Award this year. This has made India as the only country to receive two out of six awards presented in this region.
