ESRI International Health GIS conference

ESRI is accepting paper submissions for its International Health GIS Conference being held May 4–7, 2003, in Arlington, Virginia. The conference will focus on the uses of geographic information system (GIS) technology to lower the barriers for improving health and social conditions that affect the well being of the world.
GIS technology has proved its worth as a valuable tool that enables health and human services organizations to create different plans and solutions to face challenges within society. The conference will provide a forum for professionals from various regions of the world to discuss the benefits GIS brings toward the goal of improving the human condition and discovering how to use GIS to improve operational efficiency.
