Esri Australia launches Dekho 3.2

Australia: Esri Australia released a geographic web application server Dekho 3.2, the culmination of ongoing improvements to enterprise deployment, product support and customer experience. With the release of 3.2 comes the launch of the new Dekho Resource Centre, an online portal featuring ‘Dekho Answers’, RSS feeds, case studies, product information and other resources.
“The Resource Centre is about engaging with Dekho users,” said Simon Hope, Product Developer. “It is an avenue for us to share tips, tricks and product developments; and for the user community to get together to collaborate and share experiences.”
With additional security developments and diagnostics, a focus of Dekho 3.2 is improved enterprise deployment capability. As per the company’s press statement, many of Australasia’s largest commercial organisations, such as Western Power, Westralia Airports and LinkWater, rely on Dekho as an integral part of their organisation-wide location intelligence solution.
“Through the implementation of Dekho we now provide all staff with GIS access through self-serve maps,” said Shannon Browne, GIS Administrator at Perth Airport. “These can help with anything from planning the location of a new vending machine through to scoping the environmental impacts of building a new warehouse on the estate. With so many stakeholders using location intelligence to get a greater insight into their working area, staff are better informed and therefore empowered to make better business decisions.”
