Dynamix Corporation is providing military and federal agencies with timely geospatial map information of the Gulf Coast areas devastated by Hurricane Katrina. In support of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the Dynamix team has been providing mapping information for disaster recovery to military and federal civilian agencies throughout the Katrina devastation area. This support has focused on providing the Department of Defense (DoD) and civilian agencies with integrated geospatial infrastructure information with post hurricane commercial satellite imagery over inundated areas, particularly the greater New Orleans region.

Current condition maps were rapidly generated and provided to the National Guard in support of recovery efforts in St. Bernard Parish. Web technology is also being used to provide the military with situational web maps depicting flood inundation zones, critical infrastructure information, and other map-based information. Established in 1987, Dynamix Corporation provides a wide range of additional services including information technology services, GIS data management and integration, hardware and network maintenance, hardware relocations, information security, software development and maintenance, and technical staffing. With a large repository of standardized local GIS data in the United States and 17 years of experience working with the federal government, Dynamix provides extensive project management expertise and technical know-how to create solutions for clients’ unique needs.
