DMTI Spatial builds national parks and municipal amalgamation data into mapping base with release of CanMap V6.3

November 18, 2002 – DMTI Spatial has announced the highly anticipated release of their National Parks and Municipal Amalgamation files as part of their version 6.3 release of CanMap street map and routing data product line.

CanMap V6.3 is the latest in a series of quarterly updates of DMTI Spatial’s CanMap product line, providing consistent quarterly improvements across Canada, such as impressive street naming for 99% of the population, addressing for 88% of the population, and 1.5 million kilometers of contiguous routing from door-to-door, coast-to-coast, across Canada.

DMTI Spatial continues to hold the line on prices while increasing the depth of its CanMap Streetfiles and CanMap RouteLogistics mapping data with the addition of their National Parks layer, a file of 1,254 national, marine, provincial and territorial parks. This point and polygon data set is ideal for consumer navigation and recreational GPS products, travel and tourism Web services, infrastructure planning and analysis applications, wildlife and environmental risk studies, and more.
