US: The year 2016 appears to be fruitful for DJI, as the company holds a 45.4 percent of market share by registration since the beginning of 2016. However, it is being said that this is actually a little bit more as many people have built their own systems using DJI equipment or registered standard DJI platforms as the manufacturer.
It is apparent that manufacturers tout higher numbers for platforms in commercial use, but unless they are registered this would be just a hobby sale as far as the drone makers are concerned.
The sales of Precision Hawk platforms have slowed and bubbling under at #6 is Yuneec. Their recent collaboration with Intel and award at CES are bound to bring more platforms to the register. Very soon they will be in the top 5.
The rise in registered commercial drones in America is rapid but nothing like private use. That’s gone from 0 to 300k in a month.
