US: Remote sensing data and geospatial solutions provider, DigitalGlobe will announce the fourth quarter results on Thursday. The company will announce the fourth quarter results through a live webcast on the internet at 3 p.m. MT (5 p.m. ET) on February 25, 2016. It is worth noting that DigitalGlobe had reported a net income of $9.2 million in the third quarter. Despite that the company’s shares plunged over 25%, which was their lowest level since 2012.
In October, last year, the satellite imagery giant cut 40 jobs, or about 2% of its workforce. Although it immediately reacted saying the move was necessary “to balance costs and growth strategy”, what is important to note is that only seven months back in February it had fired 155 employees as part of what it then said was an overall strategy shift.
The live webcast and archived replay can be accessed at www.digitalglobe.com, and will be available as a replay shortly after the call. An audio replay of the call will be available for 30 days.
