DigitalGlobe names new Senior Director of U.S. Defense Business Development

DigitalGlobe has announced it has named Thomas A. Hennig senior director of U.S. Defense Business Development. In this position, Hennig will interact with senior Department of Defense and intelligence community leaders. Hennig’s office will be located in the Washington, D.C. area. In his new role, Hennig will also work closely with DigitalGlobe’s industry partners in the Washington, D.C. area to achieve mutually beneficial cooperative strategies. These initiatives will leverage technologies and
partnerships to deliver new information products and solutions to both the government and commercial sectors. From 2002 until he joined DigitalGlobe, Hennig served as the first liaison between the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the NASA. Hennig earned a master’s degree in civil engineering, with an emphasis on photogrammetry and remote sensing, from Purdue University. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Pan American, with a double
major in astronomy and mathematics, and a double minor in physics and English.
