US: Dewberry has secured a five-year contract for its work associated with modernizing the US Fish and Wildlife Service's Coastal Barrier Resources System. The announcement came recently after the company was awarded with a $5 million for a five-year Blank Purchase Agreement with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), last year. The task consists of developing more than three million acres of undeveloped coastal areas along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts. This will require an extensive research and data mining to enable informed recommendations for each CBRS boundary. The recent task order supports the finalization of the congressionally authorized Digital Pilot Project and preparing a CBRS data layer for inclusion on Flood Insurance Rate Maps for the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
