Definiens Imaging GmbH has strenghtened its European business relations in becoming a new member of the European Association of Remote Sensing Companies (EARSC).
EARSC is a non-profit organisation, acting as a body to represent European earth observation industries interests especially with regard to European governmental actions and plans. Definiens’ unique object-oriented analysis technology of earth imaging data (eCognition) is able to contribute a great value for the upcoming european programmes such as the “Global Monitoring for Environment and Security” (GMES).
“Industrial organisations such as EARSC give us an additional opportunity to reinforce our communication to the European Commission and the European Space Agency and to intensify our contacts within the European space industry ” says Gunter Schreier, Vice President of Definiens Imaging.
Definiens Imaging is currently involved in a few European projects both managed by the European Commission and ESA. In these projects, Definiens gives consultancy to project partners to develop applications and automated information extraction from optical and radar satellite and airborne data based on Definiens´ eCognition technology.
