DDA directed to expedite mapping work

India: M Venkaiah Naidu, Urban Development Minister has categorically instructed the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and all municipal bodies of Delhi to finish the mapping of all land properties using GIS within 3 months.

He also directed that details of the land properties should be easily shared in the public domain and all MPs, MLAs and Corporators and general public should provide necessary information in this regard to respective agencies so that the problem of encroachment can be addressed.

The worsening condition of land records and the ever-growing encroachment of DDA land prompted Delhi government to initiate mapping exercise.
