The Hyderabad-based Cyient Limited has signed an agreement with Hitachi Rail with an aim to provide a number of project engineering services to the latter. Under the agreement, the global engineering and technology solutions company will help Hitachi Rail to further improve its signalling technology.

As per the agreement between the two sides, Cyient will help develop a Central Delivery Centre for Hitachi Rail in India and a Regional Centre in the US. Both these centres will help in delivering engineering services like hardware design, application logic design software, software configuration among other responsibilities. Cyient will also help in configuration support and software development for ATS product of Hitachi.
The partnership between the two companies will help develop safer design and also ensure crucial benefits to rail operations across the world.
