US: A new CRM app integrates GPS to help companies identify the social media users who are on-site or nearby the business. It helps companies provide better service, increase sales and boost loyalty. The app is called Earshot.
The app works for both consumers and businesses, using GPS and cell towers to identify where tweets, foursquare check-ins and Instagram posts are coming from. It can also be used by consumers to get a sort of “super status” as they enter the geofences of businesses on the Earshot network. This helps them receive better customer service, real-time rewards and deeper relationships with brands.
