Missouri: The police department and the Sheriff’s office in the Jackson County, a county located in west central Missouri in the United States, have developed a new crime mapping site. The collaboration puts all the reported crimes from both the departments on a single platform.

The homepage of the site shows all the crimes reported by both the departments. The users can access the data by crime type and location. One could find the frequency of a particular type of crime in a particular location or vice versa by simply clicking some icons. The locations have been limited to blocks. To ensure victims’ protection, no specific addresses have been published on the website.
