Congo to develop national geodata bank

Congo: The Ministry of Mines in Congo is planning to develop a national bank of geoscience data. The project has been funded by the International Development Association (IDA) and the Department for International Development (DFID) of the UK.

The objective of the project is to develop an effective GIS system to support the national geodata bank. It would include updates on geological mapping, geophysical mapping, inventory management of mineral resources at national and regional levels.
