ComputaMaps has added global cloud-free imagery

08 August 2002-As an enhancement to their free online 500m RF planning data server, ComputaMaps has added global cloud-free imagery and updated their entire clutter database.

The global imagery has been tiled and reprojected to UTM zones and is supplied as Geotiff files, compatible with MSI PlaNET. The clutter data has been updated using recent land use/land cover data, and re-classed to 8 types specific to RF planning.

The 500m data can be downloaded as zipped files from the map-based server, based on UTM tile locations at https://www.computamaps.com/freedata.shtml. All the required MSI PlaNET index, projection and menu files are included for rapid integration into most RF planning tools.

ComputaMaps is a manufacturer of high-resolution 3D geographic databases for use in wireless network design.
