Colorado State University maps drain system

29 March 2006: Currently Colorado State University is mapping the clay and open drain system in the Arkansas Valley Drainage District in US using aerial photography interpretation and GPS. The long-range plans for the study is to create a digit detailed map as well as hard copy portfolio of all the buried clay tile drains and surface drains. The maps will provide all the drainage districts with better documentation and ability to locate the drains and hence allowing the drainage districts to continue to contribute to the maintenance programs for the project.
