Geographic Technologies Group, Inc. (GTG) announced recently that the City of Olympia, Washington has procured several GIS solutions from GTG’s LookingGlass GIS software suite. The City will be implementing LGviewer, LGweb, and LGaddress. The City’s objective is to utilize these applications to integrate HTE with GIS, thereby providing an integrated platform that will enable City personnel to leverage existing land-based data and applications. The combined use of these applications offers a comprehensive expansion of the City’s information technology infrastructure. LGviewer offers a user friendly interface that allows for the integration of HTE land based information in conjunction with GIS data. LGWeb is a dynamic Active X Intranet application that distributes GIS data to users in an easy-to-use, yet powerful web interface. This web interface gives the users the ability to quickly query both spatial (map) and attribute data with a few simple clicks. LGaddress allows users to maintain street centerlines and address points via an intuitive ArcEngine based GIS application. As an HTE business partner, GTG provides several LookingGlass (LG) products that provide a GIS interface for many of HTE’s land and public safety modules. The City’s implementation of these three LookingGlass applications continues to add to the rapidly expanding number of cities and counties that are utilizing LookingGlass GIS as a distributable and unifying technology. GTG is a full-service local government GIS consulting company in US offering specialized experience in the planning, design, implementation, and procurement of geo-technologies.
