China: In a cultural cooperation project that will see Chinese archaeologists joining forces with Egyptian experts, Institute of Archaeology under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) will conduct archaeological excavations, cultural relics protection, and safety monitoring and control in key sites in Egypt. Even though Egypt has conducted over 200 excavation and cultural-relics protection projects with foreign institutions, none of them have been with China. It should be noted that Chinese archaeological teams own the world's leading 3D remote sensing and imaging technology, as well as advanced indoor testing and analysis techniques.
