Bolivia to monitor coca cultivation using geospatial tech

Bolivia: The Government of Bolivia announced an agreement with the US and Brazil for the monitoring of illegal plantations of coca, which was spread up in more than 32,000 hectares in 2011. Under this agreement, the US will help Bolivia develop GPS and laser technology based tracking system and Brazil will provide satellite images.
In addition, under this agreement, the US will provide financial support whereas Brazil will provide training for human resources. Earlier, on November 19, 2011, the three countries suspended the agreement for the fifth time.
