UK: Blom has appointed Dave Fox as Managing Director of UK operations. According to the company, Fox brings considerable experience to Blom and will be instrumental in building upon the foundations Blom has throughout the UK.
Fox has obtained his Geography degree from Durham University, UK, and has completed his postgraduation in Land and Water management from Silsoe College, Cranfield. Dirk Blaauw, CEO Blom ASA, said, “His extensive experience and knowledge will be a huge asset to Blom UK and the rest of the Blom Group.”
Fox initially spent six years with the Ministry of Defence and then moved to Infoterra Ltd (formerly NRSC Ltd) in 1991. After a range of technical and management roles, he took over as the CEO of Infoterra Ltd in 1998; over the next twelve years he grew the business six-fold to develop it into one of the major players in the UK geo-information marketplace. Fox has also played a role for many years on the Board of the pan-European Spot-Infoterra group, with a particular focus on strategy development, M & A coordination of the Groups products/service portfolio and the introduction of Infoterra into a range of vertical markets.
