Blom signs oblique imagery contract in Serbia

US: Blom has signed a contract with Land Development Agency of Belgrade in Serbia to deliver photogrammetric images covering 17 municipalities of Belgrade. The contract, covering a total area of more than 3,200 square km, includes delivery of oblique and vertical aerial images, together with software and training for management of the imagery.

The images will have several applications in regional and city planning. One key area of use is to enable the municipalities to better manage land development and to identify illegal construction work. The software delivery will provide added user functionality as well as seamless integration of the images with the customers’ existing GIS system and Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems. Blom will provide user training to increase the utilisation of the images to a range of planning and engineering purposes.

Expected completion of the production is by end of third quarter 2010. The customer has permanent rights for internal use and has licensed the images for public internet usage for a period of two years.
