BlackBerry Storm now runs ArcGIS Server

Dayton, OH. December 16, 2008 – With its new high resolution touch screen, 3.2 megapixal camera, microSD memory card slot and unlocked GPS, the BlackBerry Storm offers a new mobile platform for GIS. With the ability to run ESRI ArcGIS Server software, the BlackBerry Storm can perform GIS tasks usually done with a laptop computer with an aircard. Now one can view live GIS maps, GPS field map points with digital photos, and track vehicles and personnel using Freeance Mobile software on the BlackBerry Storm.

Freeance Mobile is said to be the only solution for having live access to your ArcGIS Server maps on BlackBerry smartphones.
