Beijing to use remote sensing for land management

China: Beijing Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources (BJMBLR) plans to use satellite remote sensing technology to manage expropriation of land in the city.

After expropriation, the bureau plans to develop and sell the land. The project is aimed at utilisation of the grant for the consolidated land monitoring information system. The platform will continue to provide data for land management. The bureau has earmarked CNY840,000 (approx $137,000) for the project.
