Beacon Council offers new imaging tech

Miami, FL: The Beacon Council, Miami-Dade’s official economic development organization, announced the launch of a new street-level imaging web-based application. The 360-degree street-level imaging technology by Blue Dasher Technologies will assist companies considering new location and expansion in Miami-Dade County. The Beacon Council is the first U.S. economic development agency to integrate this new street-level imaging technology into its website.

The Beacon Council, working together with real estate professionals, will provide companies and site selectors with potential locations in Miami-Dade County. They will be able to search these locations under consideration and view them at street-level from the comfort of their office. In addition, users will be able to view the surrounding neighborhoods and explore other areas of the county. The technology goes beyond mapping streets and providing satellite snapshots of the area. Through high-density 360-degree imaging, the application provides the user with a seamless experience similar to driving down the street. This web-based application is only available to companies who are working with The Beacon Council in their process of evaluating Miami-Dade County. Media wishing to preview the application may do so by requesting access to the webpage.

The Beacon Council is one of 22 economic development organizations in North America accredited by the International Economic Development Council, for its excellence in local economic development standards and efforts. Since its creation in 1986, The Beacon Council has completed more than 730 new location and expansion projects. These projects resulted in the creation of over 75,000 direct and indirect jobs, the retention of 15,000 jobs and $2.6 billion in new capital investment to Miami-Dade County.
