BE Seminar 2009 organised in New Delhi

New Delhi, India: A one day seminar aimed at enabling exchange of ideas amongst AEC (architecture, engineering and construction) community was organised by Bentley on 13th April in New Delhi. Over 200 delegates from various application areas that included construction, infrastructure, municipalities, participated in the event.

In his welcome address, Christopher Liew, Vice President & Territory Executive – Asia South, emphasised Bentley’s understanding of infrastructure as interface between people and planet and informed that how solutions from Bentley have helped to build and maintain infrastructure.

An interesting presentation on Return on Investment (ROI) was made by Malcolm Walter, Chief Operatiing Officer, Bentley Systems. He presented case studies from different regions of the world and showed how integrated solutions from the company have proved profitable to the organisations implementing those. He also made a strong case of financial gains out of interoperablility across platforms.

A keynote lecture on features of V8i was made by Brad Workman, Vice President – Platform Technologies Product Management.

The rest of the day saw break-out sessions on the company’s solutions for specific domains of water resources, roads & bridges (rail & transit) and oil & gas. User presentations were also made at the event.

The event is part of the series of similar seminars being organised by Bentley in the the month of April this year. It started with one at Middle East in Manama on April 8. The next are as –
