BBC captures aerial images of the World Cup host cities

The Soccer Cities series, produced by the BBC World Service, visited 6 of the 12 host cities of the World Cup to show some of its most charming attractions and highlights.

Among the beautiful images of Recife, Salvador, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia and Manaus, some were captured by an “hexacopter”, a flying device with six propellers, remotely operated, carrying a camera.

These images show angles rarely seen of these cities.

The Soccer Cities stories are all published on Fridays on BBC Brasil.

The videos about Brasilia, Rio de Janeiro, Manaus and Recife can already be seen on https://www.bbc.co.uk/portuguese/videos_e_fotos/2014/06/140604_brasil_visto_de_cima_an.shtml
